New House1

I think this week can be summed up in one word: Exciting. The right house, for the right price opened up for us a couple months ago, and this week we closed on it. It is our first time buying a home, and it is a landmark moment for our family. Owning a home means we get to live somewhere longer than a year and a half. We have moved five times in five years. We are laying down roots.

Maybe it won’t be a forever home, but we are anticipating all the memories that will resound within its walls: youth group, coffee and conversation with friends, family game nights, meals around our table, watching our daughter grow, hopefully welcoming in future children, Christmases, Easters, birthdays, and most wonderful of all–the gift of living everyday life together. #EngagingLife

This past weekend was full of packing and preparations, but we managed to enjoy some friend time every day. We met over pizza with some new local friends, grabbed ice cream with the youth group, grilled out with our neighbors, traversed around Columbia with some Phoenix (now Searcy) friends who drove up from their Branson vacation to see us, and conversed and watched clouds blow in during a young adult church grill out.

This past week was simply exciting. Exciting to make new friends, reconnect with old friends, and become homeowners. We cannot wait to get in tomorrow and paint and clean our house (Argh! I love saying that!). Mitch, baby girl, and I spent over 30 minutes at Lowes today selecting paint colors. We are tired of white rental walls. That being said, no crazy paint colors for us. We are earth tone people (most of the time).

This week might just get a little bit more exciting for you too . . . . The 2016 Ultimate Homemaking Bundle Flash Sale is here!

After the week-long sale for the 2016 Ultimate Homemaking Bundle at the end of April was over, I had a couple friends and blog readers tell me how disappointed they were that they missed it. Apparently, it was also a popular week to take a sabbatical from the internet. Which I think is awesome and smart by the way. Sometimes we just need a social media/online detox! But I felt awful that they had missed out.

So, I told them not to fret because there is usually a flash sale after the bundle. And, sure enough that flash sale is TODAY and tomorrow. And then, as far as I know, your chances at the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle are finito, over, nada, no more!

You can see all my earlier posts on the bundle here. You will be sad if you miss this bundle. The value is unreal, the content is varied so there is something for everyone, the bonus offers are, in my opinion, worth way more than $30 and just plain awesome. And, if you are skeptical, (which I understand, I really do, $30 is a lot of money for us too), there is always a 30-day money-back guarantee. You won’t want to return it, but just in case you encounter a strange case of buyer’s remorse, it is there.

Reminder for those who have already bought the bundle–claim you bonus offers by June 3rd–this Friday! Also, if you are buying it during the flash sale, most of the bonus offers are the same, but there are a couple differences.

For those of you who bought the 2016 Ultimate Homemaking Bundle, what has been your favorite part so far?

  1. God is blessing your family every single day! Congrats again on owning your own home, it is a wonderful feeling to put down some family roots. Andhanks again for sharing your busy weekend with Laura and Michael.

  2. Congratulations! I can’t believe you’ve moved 5 times in 5 years! I hate moving. But yay for no more of that and for owning a home and for no white rental walls. Ugh they’re the worst!
